Overview

openssl is a bindings for the Rust programming language.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write through the derive path in Deriver and PkeyCtxRef when deriving key material into an undersized caller buffer. An attacker can trigger a write past the end of a &mut [u8] by causing X25519, X448, or HKDF-extract derivation on OpenSSL 1.1.x or LibreSSL to produce a full-length shared secret into a shorter buffer, corrupting memory and crashing the process.
