CWE-287  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade sudo-rs to version 0.2.10 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Authentication due to improper recording of the authenticated user's UID in the authentication timestamp. An attacker can gain unauthorized access to permitted accounts by reusing a valid authentication timestamp after authenticating as a different user. This is only exploitable if the Defaults targetpw or Defaults rootpw options are enabled.
