suricata is a network IDS, IPS and NSM engine developed by the OISF and the Suricata community.
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Stack-based Buffer Overflow via the rule parser when ldap.responses.attribute_type
keywords is used. An attacker can cause a denial of service by supplying specially crafted rules containing long keywords with transforms during startup or rule reload.
##Workaround
This vulnerability can be mitigated by disabling rules that use ldap.responses.attribute_type
with transforms.
