Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity in the validate_webauthn_login process. An attacker can permanently alter the backup flags for a user's credential by submitting tampered authenticatorData before signature verification, resulting in persistent disruption of WebAuthn two-factor authentication for affected credentials. This is only exploitable if the attacker knows the user's password but cannot produce a valid WebAuthn signature.
