Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling in the Val API when lifting guest values, which does not properly account for host allocations and allows bypassing the hostcall fuel limit. An attacker can exhaust host memory resources by returning specially crafted values from a malicious WebAssembly guest, leading to service disruption.
