NewCVE-2026-34202  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-248  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade zebra-chain to version 6.0.1 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Uncaught Exception via the transaction processing logic. An attacker can cause a node to crash by sending a specially crafted V5 transaction that passes initial deserialization but fails during transaction ID calculation, either through the public P2P port or the exposed RPC interface.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by restricting access to the RPC and P2P ports to trusted peers only.
