Overview
Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling through the Codec::decode process. An attacker can cause excessive virtual memory reservation by sending a crafted protocol header with a large body length value before completing the handshake. This is only exploitable if the node accepts inbound P2P connections and the attacker can establish TCP connections to the service.
