CWE-862  (opens in a new tab)

Amendment

The SLES security team deemed this advisory irrelevant for SLES:15.0.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream ghostscript-mini package and not the ghostscript-mini package as distributed by SLES.

It was found that the superexec operator was available in the internal dictionary in ghostscript before 9.27. A specially crafted PostScript file could use this flaw in order to, for example, have access to the file system outside of the constrains imposed by -dSAFER.
