CWE-120  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.0 libopenmpt_modplug1 to version 0.3.19-2.10.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libopenmpt_modplug1 package and not the libopenmpt_modplug1 package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.0 relevant fixed versions and status.

In libopenmpt before 0.3.19 and 0.4.x before 0.4.9, ModPlug_InstrumentName and ModPlug_SampleName in libopenmpt_modplug.c do not restrict the lengths of libmodplug output-buffer strings in the C API, leading to a buffer overflow.
