CWE-346  (opens in a new tab)

Upgrade SLES:15.0 ntp to version 4.2.8p15-4.10.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream ntp package and not the ntp package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.0 relevant fixed versions and status.

ntpd in ntp before 4.2.8p14 and 4.3.x before 4.3.100 allows an off-path attacker to block unauthenticated synchronization via a server mode packet with a spoofed source IP address, because transmissions are rescheduled even when a packet lacks a valid origin timestamp.
