NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream amazon-ssm-agent package and not the amazon-ssm-agent package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.1 relevant fixed versions and status.

Amazon AWS amazon-ssm-agent before 3.1.1208.0 creates a world-writable sudoers file, which allows local attackers to inject Sudo rules and escalate privileges to root. This occurs in certain situations involving a race condition.
