CWE-682  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.1 libexpat1-32bit to version 2.2.5-3.9.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libexpat1-32bit package and not the libexpat1-32bit package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.1 relevant fixed versions and status.

In Expat (aka libexpat) before 2.4.3, a left shift by 29 (or more) places in the storeAtts function in xmlparse.c can lead to realloc misbehavior (e.g., allocating too few bytes, or only freeing memory).
