CWE-674  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.1 u-boot-tools to version 2019.01-7.10.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream u-boot-tools package and not the u-boot-tools package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.1 relevant fixed versions and status.

A crafted self-referential DOS partition table will cause all Das U-Boot versions through 2019.07-rc4 to infinitely recurse, causing the stack to grow infinitely and eventually either crash or overwrite other data.
