CVE-2020-14308 Open this link in a new tabHow to fix?
Upgrade SLES:15.2
grub2
to version 2.04-9.7.1 or higher.
NVD Description
Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream grub2
package and not the grub2
package as distributed by SLES:15.2
.
See How to fix?
for SLES:15.2
relevant fixed versions and status.
In grub2 versions before 2.06 the grub memory allocator doesn't check for possible arithmetic overflows on the requested allocation size. This leads the function to return invalid memory allocations which can be further used to cause possible integrity, confidentiality and availability impacts during the boot process.
