CWE-91  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.2 libMagick++-7_Q16HDRI4 to version 7.0.7.34-10.9.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libMagick++-7_Q16HDRI4 package and not the libMagick++-7_Q16HDRI4 package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.2 relevant fixed versions and status.

ImageMagick before 6.9.11-40 and 7.x before 7.0.10-40 mishandles the -authenticate option, which allows setting a password for password-protected PDF files. The user-controlled password was not properly escaped/sanitized and it was therefore possible to inject additional shell commands via coders/pdf.c.
