CWE-665  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.2 openjpeg2-devel to version 2.3.0-150000.3.5.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream openjpeg2-devel package and not the openjpeg2-devel package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.2 relevant fixed versions and status.

A flaw was found in the opj2_decompress program in openjpeg2 2.4.0 in the way it handles an input directory with a large number of files. When it fails to allocate a buffer to store the filenames of the input directory, it calls free() on an uninitialized pointer, leading to a segmentation fault and a denial of service.
