CWE-835  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.2 wavpack to version 5.4.0-4.9.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream wavpack package and not the wavpack package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.2 relevant fixed versions and status.

The function WavpackPackInit in pack_utils.c in libwavpack.a in WavPack through 5.1.0 allows attackers to cause a denial-of-service (resource exhaustion caused by an infinite loop) via a crafted wav audio file because WavpackSetConfiguration64 mishandles a sample rate of zero.
