CWE-770  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.4 apache-commons-fileupload to version 1.5-150200.3.9.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream apache-commons-fileupload package and not the apache-commons-fileupload package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.4 relevant fixed versions and status.

Apache Commons FileUpload before 1.5 does not limit the number of request parts to be processed resulting in the possibility of an attacker triggering a DoS with a malicious upload or series of uploads.

Note that, like all of the file upload limits, the new configuration option (FileUploadBase#setFileCountMax) is not enabled by default and must be explicitly configured.
