NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream kernel-livepatch-5_14_21-150400_24_60-default package and not the kernel-livepatch-5_14_21-150400_24_60-default package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.4 relevant fixed versions and status.

A double-free flaw was found in the Linux kernel’s TUN/TAP device driver functionality in how a user registers the device when the register_netdevice function fails (NETDEV_REGISTER notifier). This flaw allows a local user to crash or potentially escalate their privileges on the system.
