CVE-2023-52795  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.5 kernel-zfcpdump to version 5.14.21-150500.55.68.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream kernel-zfcpdump package and not the kernel-zfcpdump package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.5 relevant fixed versions and status.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

vhost-vdpa: fix use after free in vhost_vdpa_probe()

The put_device() calls vhost_vdpa_release_dev() which calls ida_simple_remove() and frees "v". So this call to ida_simple_remove() is a use after free and a double free.
