NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libheif1 package and not the libheif1 package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.5 relevant fixed versions and status.

In Libheif 1.17.6, insufficient checks in ImageOverlay::parse() decoding a heif file containing an overlay image with forged offsets can lead to an out-of-bounds read and write.
