CVE-2024-36959  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.6 kernel-64kb-devel to version 6.4.0-150600.23.7.3 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream kernel-64kb-devel package and not the kernel-64kb-devel package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.6 relevant fixed versions and status.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

pinctrl: devicetree: fix refcount leak in pinctrl_dt_to_map()

If we fail to allocate propname buffer, we need to drop the reference count we just took. Because the pinctrl_dt_free_maps() includes the droping operation, here we call it directly.
