CWE-522  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.6 libcurl4 to version 8.14.1-150600.4.51.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libcurl4 package and not the libcurl4 package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.6 relevant fixed versions and status.

When asking curl to use a .netrc file to find credentials and at the same time specifying a URL with a username (without a password), like https://user@example.com/, curl could wrongly get and use the password for another user set in the .netrc file for that host if such a one exists and there is no match for the specified user.
