CVE-2024-52531  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.6 libsoup-3_0-0 to version 3.4.4-150600.3.3.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream libsoup-3_0-0 package and not the libsoup-3_0-0 package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.6 relevant fixed versions and status.

GNOME libsoup before 3.6.1 allows a buffer overflow in applications that perform conversion to UTF-8 in soup_header_parse_param_list_strict. There is a plausible way to reach this remotely via soup_message_headers_get_content_type (e.g., an application may want to retrieve the content type of a request or response).
