CWE-416  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:15.7 ImageMagick-config-7-upstream-open to version 7.1.1.43-150700.3.65.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream ImageMagick-config-7-upstream-open package and not the ImageMagick-config-7-upstream-open package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:15.7 relevant fixed versions and status.

ImageMagick before 7.1.2-15 and 6.9.13-40 contains a heap use-after-free in the meta coder: when memory allocation fails, a single byte is written to a stale pointer. Remote attackers can trigger it by processing specially crafted image files, causing a denial of service.
