CVE-2026-24883  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-476  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:16.0.0 dirmngr to version 2.5.5-160000.4.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream dirmngr package and not the dirmngr package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:16.0.0 relevant fixed versions and status.

In GnuPG before 2.5.17, a long signature packet length causes parse_signature to return success with sig->data[] set to a NULL value, leading to a denial of service (application crash).
