CVE-2025-0395  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:16.0.0 glibc-info to version 2.40-160000.3.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream glibc-info package and not the glibc-info package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:16.0.0 relevant fixed versions and status.

When the assert() function in the GNU C Library versions 2.13 to 2.40 fails, it does not allocate enough space for the assertion failure message string and size information, which may lead to a buffer overflow if the message string size aligns to page size.
