NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream ImageMagick-config-7-upstream-secure package and not the ImageMagick-config-7-upstream-secure package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:16.0.0 relevant fixed versions and status.

ImageMagick before 7.1.2-26 contains a policy bypass vulnerability in the APNG encoder and external delegates due to missing validation checks. Attackers can write files to disallowed paths by bypassing configured policy restrictions through the APNG encoding process.
