CWE-617  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:16.0.0 kernel-macros to version 6.12.0-160000.26.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream kernel-macros package and not the kernel-macros package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:16.0.0 relevant fixed versions and status.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

libceph: replace overzealous BUG_ON in osdmap_apply_incremental()

If the osdmap is (maliciously) corrupted such that the incremental osdmap epoch is different from what is expected, there is no need to BUG. Instead, just declare the incremental osdmap to be invalid.
