CVE-2026-34714  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-78  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade SLES:16.0.0 vim-data to version 9.2.0280-160000.1.1 or higher.

NVD Description

Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream vim-data package and not the vim-data package as distributed by SLES. See How to fix? for SLES:16.0.0 relevant fixed versions and status.

Vim before 9.2.0272 allows code execution that happens immediately upon opening a crafted file in the default configuration, because %{expr} injection occurs with tabpanel lacking P_MLE.
