Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Insufficient Granularity of Access Control via the rdn_av_swap function when processing distinguished names containing legacy-quoted values. An attacker can cause a denial of service or potentially perform arbitrary memory write operations by sending specially crafted malformed DN requests. This is only exploitable if heap debugging is enabled (such as AddressSanitizer or MALLOC_CHECK_=3), or depending on heap layout and subsequent memory allocator activity.
