CVE-2026-11770  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-90  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to LDAP Injection via the CleanAllRUV status-check extended operation, which allows injection of LDAP search filters. An attacker can extract sensitive server configuration metadata, such as replication bind DNs and password storage scheme information, by sending crafted requests that are processed with elevated replication plugin privileges. This is only exploitable if nsslapd-allow-anonymous-access is enabled.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by setting nsslapd-allow-anonymous-access to rootdse or off, restricting LDAP ports to trusted networks, monitoring for extop OID 2.16.840.1.113730.3.6.8, and using strong replication manager passwords.
