The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Authorization in the SELFDN ACI bind-rule evaluator when it incorrectly matches an anonymous LDAP client's empty bind DN against an empty stored attribute value. An attacker can gain unauthorized access and perform operations such as adding or modifying directory entries by exploiting this logic flaw. This is only exploitable if an ACI is defined using userattr="attribute#SELFDN" or userattr="attribute#USERDN" on an attribute that is permitted to hold an explicit empty value.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by reviewing all ACIs using userattr="#SELFDN" bind rules and confirming the target attribute cannot be set to an empty value, or by adding an explicit authmethod restriction to the ACI to prevent anonymous binds from satisfying the check. Disabling anonymous access to the directory also removes the attack surface entirely where anonymous binds are not required.
