Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound) in the sasl_io_start_packet process. An attacker can cause memory corruption and potentially execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted SASL wrapped record with a small length prefix after a successful SASL bind with integrity protection. This is only exploitable if a SASL security layer is negotiated after bind.
