CWE-444  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

Upgrade apache/httpd to version 2.4.64-rc1 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to HTTP Request Smuggling via the SSLEngine, when TLS upgrades are enabled. An attacker in a man-in-the-middle position can intercept and take control of active HTTP sessions during the TLS upgrade negotiation.

Note: This is only exploitable if the server is configured with SSLEngine optional to permit opportunistic TLS upgrades.
