Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Buffer Overflow in the HCI socket transport process. An attacker can cause memory corruption or potentially execute arbitrary code by sending a specially crafted HCI event that exceeds the configured event pool size. This is only exploitable if the event pool size is misconfigured or if a malicious or compromised controller is connected to the HCI socket link.
