Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Infinite loop in the ext4fs_iterate_dir function in fs/ext4/ext4_common.c. An attacker can cause the boot process to hang indefinitely by supplying a malicious ext4 filesystem image with a crafted directory entry containing a direntlen value of 0, which triggers an infinite loop during directory listing or path resolution.
