How to fix?

Upgrade bind to version 9.20.10 or higher.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Acceptance of Extraneous Untrusted Data With Trusted Data via the ecs-zones process. An attacker can inject malicious DNS records into the cache by exploiting the way ECS (EDNS Client Subnet) options are handled in DNS queries, potentially causing clients to receive incorrect DNS responses.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by disabling ECS in BIND by removing the ecs-zones option from named.conf.
