Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Improper Filtering of Special Elements in the RPZ processing when handling wildcard CNAME policies and receiving specially crafted query names that are sufficiently long to trigger a NAMETOOLONG error. An attacker can bypass intended policy enforcement or cause an unexpected process termination by submitting such queries.
