The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Reachable Assertion in the named process when handling specially crafted DNS-over-HTTPS requests containing invalid SIG(0) records. An attacker can cause the service to terminate unexpectedly by sending such a request and prematurely closing the connection, resulting in service unavailability.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by restricting access to the service to trusted clients only, or by disabling DNS-over-HTTPS if it is not required. Additionally, configure firewall rules to only allow connections from trusted IP ranges to port 53 (UDP and TCP).
