Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Unchecked Input for Loop Condition via the processing of cached SVCB/HTTPS AliasMode records. An attacker can cause excessive CPU consumption by sending crafted queries, resulting in service disruption for legitimate users.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by configuring resolvers to restrict recursive queries to trusted clients only using the allow-recursion option in the configuration file.
