Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling due to the asynchronous cache-database maintenance methods used by named when operating as a recursive resolver. An attacker can cause the list of queued cleanup events to grow indefinitely, leading to a situation where the configured max-cache-size limit is significantly exceeded.
