Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Asymmetric Resource Consumption (Amplification) due to the parsing of overly large elliptic curve parameters in X.509 certificates. An attacker can cause excessive computation and potential denial of service by presenting an ECDSA X.509 certificate with explicitly encoded parameters that are significantly large.
