Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow in the option_to_env function when processing the DNS_SERVERS option in DHCPv6 responses. An attacker can cause memory corruption, potentially leading to denial of service or execution of arbitrary code, by sending a specially crafted DHCPv6 response containing a malformed D6_OPT_DNS_SERVERS option.
