The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Check out the EPSS documentation for more details.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Calculation of Buffer Size via the ssl_server process. An attacker can cause a crash by sending a specially crafted ClientKeyExchange message to the TLS server, resulting in a denial of service. This is only exploitable if the ssl_server applet is present and used, as it is not shipped in certain distributions and system-level mitigations may prevent further exploitation.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by not using the ssl_server applet in production environments and ensuring system-level exploit mitigations (ASLR, PIE, RELRO, stack protectors) are enabled.
