Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Authorization due to the improper enforcement of egress policies in certain configurations involving Gateway API load balancers.
Note: LoadBalancer resources not deployed via a Gateway API configuration are not affected by this issue.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by implementing a Clusterwide Cilium Network Policy that restricts connectivity as per the organization's security requirements.
