The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling through the InstallShield file format parser. An attacker can terminate the scanning process and exhaust system resources by submitting a specially crafted InstallShield file for scanning.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by deploying the software within a sandboxed environment to contain potential resource exhaustion and by restricting the processing of untrusted InstallShield files to trusted sources.
