CVE-2026-35091  (opens in a new tab)
CWE-253  (opens in a new tab)

How to fix?

A fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published.

Overview

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Incorrect Check of Function Return Value in the check_memb_commit_token_sanity() function. An attacker can cause a denial of service and potentially access limited memory contents by sending a specially crafted UDP packet. This is only exploitable if the service is running in totemudp or totemudpu mode, which is the default configuration.

Workaround

This vulnerability can be mitigated by restricting network access to the service on UDP port 5405 to only trusted hosts or networks, or by disabling the service if it is not required.
