Overview

curl is a command line tool and library for transferring data with URL syntax, supporting DICT, FILE, FTP, FTPS, GOPHER, GOPHERS, HTTP, HTTPS, IMAP, IMAPS, LDAP, LDAPS, MQTT, POP3, POP3S, RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP, SCP, SFTP, SMB, SMBS, SMTP, SMTPS, TELNET and TFTP. libcurl offers a myriad of powerful features.

Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Directory Traversal. Absolute path traversal vulnerability in curl 7.20.0 through 7.21.1, when the --remote-header-name or -J option is used, allows remote servers to create or overwrite arbitrary files by using \ (backslash) as a separator of path components within the Content-disposition HTTP header.
