The probability is the direct output of the EPSS model, and conveys an overall sense of the threat of exploitation in the wild. The percentile measures the EPSS probability relative to all known EPSS scores. Note: This data is updated daily, relying on the latest available EPSS model version. Affected versions of this package are vulnerable to Out-of-bounds Write via the conv_escape process. An attacker can cause out-of-bounds heap memory corruption by supplying crafted Unicode escape sequences to the built-in formatting utilities, such as printf or echo %b, or by passing them as positional arguments to the shell. This is only exploitable if the shell is deliberately installed and executed on untrusted input, as it is not the default system shell in some environments.
This vulnerability can be mitigated by avoiding the passing of untrusted data into printf, echo %b, or as positional arguments to the shell.
